Stone Slinger Truck Operator

Lunar Companies is looking for a hard-working, dedicated person to join our team as a slinger truck operator. Slinger truck operators perform the tasks of two roles: equipment operator and driver. As an equipment operator you are responsible for tasks incidental to gravel placement for the purposes of foundation construction. 

  • Pick up and deliver material in a timely manner while safely operating their vehicle

  • Communicates work progress with the supervisor throughout the duration of the project.

  • Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.

  • Keeps record of materials and products transported.

  • Operates the gravel conveyor, remotely and accurately, to sling gravel for different phases of concrete foundation construction.

  • Uses hand tools, such as shovels, come-along, and rakes, to spread gravel to grade.

  • Cleans, inspects, and services the vehicle as needed for preventative maintenance.

  • Ability to operate a smartphone and tablet.

  • Work in any type of weather to include; extreme heat and cold, rain, and snow.

  • Climb in and out of basement excavations anywhere from 6-10 feet deep using a dirt ramp or dirt stairs.

  • Perform daily tasks in possible wet and muddy conditions.

  • Performs materials handling and storage.

  • Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.

PAY RATE BASED ON EXPERIENCE (FROM $26 AND UP)

Experience:

  • CLASS B CDL

  • MINOR MECHANIC KNOWLEDGE (PREFERRED)

  • ABILITY TO LEARN AND OPERATE OTHER HEAVY EQUIPMENT

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
